I just read this infomation about overian mass and I got a better understanding then just 99% benign:It states that (Dont quote me on this one)but maligamency can be spotted 99% of the time through ct scans and ca125 ect.IF YOU ARE TOLD its benign only 1% turns out maligament

Unfortunately, malignancy can ONLY be confirmed through pathology, a ctscan or us will only show if there is some sort of mass and it's possible structure, a mass is terminology for tumour, cyst or fibroid. The ca125 test will only show if there is some form of inflammation present, again this could be anything from ovca, PID or endometriosis. I think generally docs advise you that there is a possibility of ovca in case this is what they find when they perform surgery but the most important point is cysts are nearly always harmless.

This is true, the mass, tumor or cyst needs to be removed and tested in order to truly determine what it is.
