IP treatments

I am just curious if there is anyone out there doing IP chemo. I am currently doing Topotecan with Cisplatin and they recently added Avastin. The cycle is every 4 weeks and the Topo is delivery over 3 consecutive days which is challenging. My CA125 has responded positively since the cisplatin was added. I was just wondering if anyone is doing IP treatmnets with other combinations. thanks

Great Job. Congrats on your good news.

I have done 6 cycles of Taxol and Cisplatin IP and IV in Nov. 06 after my initial surgery and dx.  It was the toughest one I ever had. right now I'm having Doxil and Avastin IV only. Is that true all your chemo drugs were administrated through IP?

Peace and Love

I was diagnosed stage 4 in 2002 - after surgry. I have been through taxol & carbo intially then taxol again as maintanence. a 2 year remission. Then doxil, gemzer, taxol again, carbo again (allergic reaction) avastin, nexavar - all through a regular port - 5 years of this straight. They did a second look and placed an IP port in in december of 2009 and my doctor wanted topotecan evry 3 weeks for 3 tough days in a row then added cisplatin when the topo wasnt knocking my markers down, in the 4th cycle they added avastin to the mix. My CA125 has come down finallybut is still around 3000. My PetCts have never shown any tumor activity so its always beena bit of an anomaly. But the IP treatment has been the worst since the inital treatment. They pump so much fluid in I llok like I am 7 months pregnant. Has your IP treatment been successful. After 8 years I am still active and working - after a few days of recovery from these treatments - You are doing taxol through IP? that was the one drup that really had my marker plummet and its been over 2 years since I have seen it. I am thinking that somewhere down the line that might be the one to revisit. But i agrss the IP treatments are the toughest. Only the best for you going forward - Judy
