I have recently been diagnosed as having a simple/functional cyst on my left ovary. It is really hurting me. The pain kind of feels like it's bruised or like there is a something hard inside of me. I only feel it when I move around or cough or sneeze. But the last time I saw my ob/gyn she said that my ovary felt completely normal and she couldn't feel a cyst at all. She thought that it was gone. I have a second ultrasound scheduled for next Thursday, so we will see then. But my question is, if I don't have an ovarian cyst, then what in the world could be causing this pain? The pain went away for about a week, but now it's back and worse than ever. The pain is very specific to where my left ovary would be. I know I'm not making it up! It's very unnerving. I only have one ovary (the other one was removed along with a grapefruit sized Dermoid cyst in the beginning of November) and I don't want to lose my other one! Now I am beginning to wonder if something more serious isn't wrong with me?!
Any thoughts?
