I think you posted about sites you visited and I looked them up and liked them but I wasn't the Chris who asked about sites. You may have given me other info though so thanks. Best wishes, one of the other Chrises
No problem Jan, with chemo we all have our own case of the dunba** at times. Sorry I haven't been around much the last several days but I am finally getting over being sick. From what I am not sure, all I know is that I feel tons better today than I have the last several, so maybe I can help you out a little bit now.
ChrisP- I wondered if you were the same one I gave the info to on ovca.net. So glad to see you.
Like all of you, the one thing that I am looking forward to is a chance for a bunch of us to meet somewhere. It would be like a dream come true! That is one of my main wishes for the new year. All of you take care and have the best new year ever. Love, Chris
I swear I don't know how I put one foot in front of the other without falling over. My brain doesn't seem to be functioning even on that level. If you want to see the map you will have to download Google Earth. It is free and really is the coolest toy. You can zoom in on your house, your friends, anywhere. You can turn it around and view the constellations also. Hey guys, as I have said to a few others Big Brother really is watching you.

Y'all have a good day
Jan
Hey! Don't you talk about my Jan like that!!! Jan, you are no dumba$$, you are a bright, beautiful strong woman. ;) ;) Take care, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! with love, Deandra
I think I got cheated as my husband worked today as well as last night - to heck with the medical profession and those of us who keep them busy over the holidays! - you got to party last night and I got to clean (a very dusty and neglected holiday) house!! :) and let me know when you are coming through Chattanooga - I'll do all I can to meet you! Which means I'll meet you unless you run me over with your car in the parking lot...and after a chemo treatment, I wouldn't blame you...but I don't think that's in your nature. If it is, warn me and I'll bring my sister-in-love who is also on chemo for bc. I'll ask her to bring the Hummer. (we don't have one, but we'll rent one)
Baguba, you made me feel better - I've been on this site for maybe a month thanks to CRecco posting on ovca.net about other websites that she visits (and I've never actually posted to her but appreciate all her advice and commets.) Maybe it took you 18 months but we'll all be glad to meet you. Hugs and Happy New Year to All - may this be the year the beast is beaten, Chris
Well, thank you all so much. I don't feel like such an idiot now.
JUDIE: To do your profile go into My MedHelp at the top right of any page in here and once you get there on the top right of that page is says Edit Profile. Just click on that and enter as much or as little info as you like. Chemo brain is not "time sensitive". I am seeing a Neurologist Thursday morning before my chemo and I don't know if they can do anything or not. I'll just have to wait and see.
CHRIS: I would love to be able to meet you next time we come thru. Sorry your husband had to work last night. Mine is working today so...
CARA: I am Miss Gadget Gal as I have every techno toy you can think of but their is so much to know and I seem to get tripped up over the little things. To know everything I would like to know about computers I would have to be on this thing 24/7!!!!
ALL: toughbroadsatyahoo.com is the user ID and courage is the password. Do check it out, it is pretty cool and I had a lot of fun doing it.
Yes, we had a WONDERFUL time and I do feel refreshed mentally. I am going to take a nap in a while because we were up until 3 and got up at 7:30. UGH!!
You really do have to enjoy the good days as they come and not let depression rob you of those because of the bad days. I know I will feel like something somebody scraped off of their shoe come Thursday, but TODAY i feel good and that will help me remember on the bad days that their will be more good days.
HUGS
Jan
Okay, I'm a dummy, I'm a dummy, I'm a dummy....how do I get my name to appear in blue so that I can have a profile, etc.????? This from someone who has been on this forum for 18 months plus......Jan, you did a good thing! I actually am gong to get my A## in gear and get to know all of you better, and visa versa......but PLEASE, walk me through it....is this chemo brain thing "time sensitive"? cause I've been using it as an excuse for years!!!!!! LOL Judie
LOL, Oh Jan, thanks for posting this! If something like this can happen to a computer saavy person like you, I don't feel like a totally incompetent boob for not knowing most of the ins and outs of this blasted machine and online forums :)
Happy New Year! Cara
Sorry, the last post was for you - and I did not party last night as my husband was working - so I have no excuse for the typo...LOL, Chris
I got your invitation and of course I accepted! And now I see about the "hovering" part and where you can add a friend. I'd love to meet you next time you are driving through Chattanooga to Cleveland if we can work it out. I'll check the Earth map site. Thanks, Chris
Hi Jan! I think someone had a very fun evening last night! You sound so refreshed! Any table dancing??? LOL
I'd like to look at that google earth map. I think the ID got hidden when you used the @. Could you spell it out?
Happy New Year!!!
Lori
Dear Chris,
I have sent you an invitation to be on my friends list. You go into mymedhelp and either accept or decline. If you hover over someones name you will see an option to send an invitation. If you don't see the option to send an invitation they are already on your friends list.
You all are right, it is so much easier to refresh your memory if they have the info in their profile. I am glad that I was able to help since I feel like an idiot most of the time.
Chris, we come through Chattanooga all of the time. My inlaws live in Cleveland and we are down there quite a bit. I lived in Chattanooga back in the 80's and my youngest was born at Erlanger. My husband was raised in Cleveland also.
Oh, we are planning a little get together in the spring for some of us (and there are more than a few) that live in the Tn, Ky, IL, IN, GA area. We'll know more about that later. We can't plan anything that far ahead.
I have started doing a Google Earth map for all of those that responded to the post on getting people together in RL or whatever. Anyway it is very cool but I am still adding people. You can look at it by going to yahoo.com type in Yahoo! ID: ***@**** password: courage. There is only one email with an attachment above the salutation. I would love for you all to take a look. I am still trying to figure out the best way to get that to everyone, because 80 people can't sign onto the same email account at once.
I hope that this year is a year of miracles for all of us that need one. In spite of the cancer I am at a really good place in my life and would like that to continue for awhile longer.
Happy New Year
Jan
I am glad you have asked people to do this, because I like being able to just hover over their name sometimes just to get an age or a location or especially their mood without going to their profile. How about being a "pest" and asking people to use the mood function!?! Happy New Year!
Jan, If it weren't for you I wouldn't have sat there and figured out how to update my profile. It really wasn't hard but I didn't even realize how to do it when I signed up. I think it is good for us to be able to see the history when answering a post. Happy New Year to you and your hubby!!!!
You prompted me to put something in my profile and I appreciated it - I had no clue what I was doing since I'm relatively new to this forum. I'm still not sure how the friends section works and guess I need to spend more time exploring. Anyway, I think you'll be easily forgiven. Happy New Year to you and everyone else. Chris
Happy New Years to you and yours..Here's to a Healthy 2008~cheers all
