I'm only 20...could I have this?

Over Thanksgiving I was diagnosed with a UTI--since then I've been unable to recover.  I've become tired, bloated feeling, and have lost my appetite.  Sometimes I get a sharp, almost cramping feeling in my right side.  I would think this was a gallbladder attack, but I've had several other symptoms kind of coming and going--lower back pain, abdominal pain, a little bit of spotting between my periods.  All of these things have been written off by doctors who barely examine me...does this sound like ovarian cancer?  Would my symptoms be more severe or getting worse if this were the case?  And are there any conditions anyone knows of that might cause these similar symptoms?  I'm getting incredibly scared and the only testing I've been able to get a doctor to do is standard bloodwork (which came back clear) as well as just kind of feeling around on my stomach.  If someone could give me some peace of mind, or tell me to rush myself to the doctor, I'd appreciate it--I have another appointment Jan. 3, which I'm hoping will reveal something.

Thanks so much,
Amy

Hi Amy, I am 29 and was having the same symptoms a few years ago..I found out I had IBS..Ovarian Cancer would be extremely unlikely at your age..do you have a family history of it? there are alot of things that can cause the same symptoms..is the cramp on your right side  up high under your rib cage or in your pelvis?

There's a pressure that comes and goes in my pelvis/middle abdomen.  The pain I get is sharp and twisting, almost, if that makes any sense.  It only lasts for a second, and sometimes I feel it across under my ribcage, sometimes across the top of my abdomen, and sometimes in my back.  There's no history of any kind of cancer in my family, but when I realized all my symptoms matched up I got scared.  A nurse friend suggested a combination of endemetriosis and a virus, but I thought any kind of infection would have shown up in my bloodwork.

Just had a laparoscopy done yesterday to determine the cause of pain that I have been having for almost 3 months.  It started in my lower right pelvis and now seems to be concentrated in the right side beginning right under my rib cage and shoots down to me pelvis.  An ultrasound showed a 3.2cm tumor on my right ovary which the doctor left in and believes it will shrink in time.  The whole reason I wanted the lap was to remove the tumor.  I am of the understanding that they get bigger, but don't go away either.  She suggested that I start looking at my uterus or my gall bladder now for the source of the pain.  Everying looked normal in the lap she said.  I am grateful for that, but feel it was wasted because now I am in pain from the lap and still have the original pain. Will welcome any advice.....

I am a 24-year old female and have been very healthy, and I have been having some of the same problems that you are having.  I have a slight pain or pressure in the left side of my pelvis and some slight abdominal pain that comes and goes.  I also have been getting moderate to severe lower back pain that seems to radiate from either side.  I have had X-rays, an endoscopy, and blood cultures and blood work which have all come back normal.  I just had an abdominal and a pelvic ultrasound done on Wednesday morning which I am still waiting for the results from.  I can understand you being scared because I am too.  All of my symptoms seem to be symptoms associated with ovarian cancer.  I have no family history of any cancers and I am very young.  What could be doing this to me?  The doctors all seem confused and are leaning toward irritable bowel depending on my ultrasound results.
