Increase in Scar Tissue on Liver

Can scar tissue that remains on the liver after abdominal surgery grow in size?  Cancer on surface of liver was burnt with argon beam during surgery for radical hysterectomy on February 3, 2005 to eliminate endometrial cancer.

Dimensions of scar tissue after surgery were 1.7 x 1.3 cm.  9 months later 2.1 x 1.3 cm.  Can this possibly be increase in the size of scar tissue?

I am definitely not a doctor, but I transcribe radiology reports every day.  I can tell you that sometimes the dimensions don't really change, it is just the way it appears one day over the next.  That's not to say that it hasn't changed, it is just possible that it is not really a change, but simply a different perspective.  Good luck.

Your response is the same as my doctor's.  Thanks for your message, which offers me some relief from anxiety and is appreciated.  Follow-up will be in three months with a sonogram.
