Is full bladder pain related to Ovarian Cyst?

by Mrs.Missy, May 07, 2006 12:00AM
Ok as I have posted and told you ladies my Vag-ultrasound finding. Can anyone answer this for me, I frequently urinate and if I can not get to a restroom and have to hold it the pain in my pelvic area get so severe that I cry. It feels as if my lower abdomain (pelvic region) is going to burst open. Sitting, walking, standing nothing chages the pain until I get to urianate. I know that most people can hold there urine for a while, it doesn't make people be in cronic pain. Does this have anything to do with ovarian cycts?

THANK YOU SUZAN, THAT GIVES ME SOME COMFORT. BUT I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING AFTER BEING TOLD OF THE CYSTS YOU AUTOMACALLY BECOME MORE AWARE OF THE SIGNALS YOUR BODY IS TELLING YOU. I USED TO JUST IGNORE IT UNTIL THERE WAS NO WAY TO INGNORE IT ANY LONGER.

I REALIZE NOW, THAT PUTTING MY SYPTOMS (symptoms) TO THE SIDE UNTIL IT WAS SO BAD IT SENT ME TO THE ER WAS NOT THE SMARTEST MOVE. SO ANYONE WHO IS READING THESE MESSAGES, TAKE THE ADVICE OF THIS LADIES WHO HAVE "BEEN THERE DONE THAT" IT MAY BE  IMPORTANT TO YOUR HEALTH.

HINCE: I PUT MY TO THE SIDE FOR NO INSURANCE REASONS, BUT THAT SHOUDLD'T HENDER YOUR DESCIONS WERE YOUR HEALTH IS OF CONCERN.
THAT WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE, BUT THE GUIDANCE OF THIS SITE HOPEFULLY WITH HELP ME TO MAKE NO MORE.

GOD BLESS

It can be from an ovarian cyst, depending on where the cyst is located it could be pushing on your bladder.  It could also be from a bladder infection.

Right after I found out I have a 4cm x 5cm cyst, I spent 2 days needing a restroom every 10 minutes and feeling as if my bladder would explode.  Then mysteriously the bladder trouble went away.  Unfortunately the cyst is still here!

HI Mrsmissy, I posted above on being home from the hospital , hysterectomy etc.and mentioned the whole urination thing that I had too...sounds a lot like your situation. Read through my post if you can find it, if not let me know and I'll be happy to share details with you!

Hi Nanik,  I would greatly appreciate it if you did tell me the details. I tried to find the thread, but that was unsuccesful. Yes its been a lousy month, I thought the pain and the other symptoms were from the surgery. Boy was I wrong, I should already be back to my normal self. But I beleive things will be brighter tommorow.

Sorry in case you did not read my other thread I had an appendectomy 30 days ago.

hi again, I had very similar symptoms as you do..it seems I 've always been the one that woke up in the night to pee, had to pee before going anywhere and again as soon as I got somewhere etc...in the last few years it has gotten worse...pain in the abdomen, aching, nauseau if I didn't find a bathroom often, but when I did go it was a small amount but it relieved the pain and nausea. I thought I was going crazy as everyone around me seemed to be able to last for hours and hours before needing a bathroom. My kids would always laugh when we'd go out to eat because I'd order a drink and take two sips during dinner...they would have gone through three refills and I was theone using the bathroom before dinner was even over....too much water/waiting would make me so ill that twice when I had ultrasounds that required me drinking the 32 ounces of stuff, I cheated...I would drink it all then sneak to a bathroom and pee out as much as I could, I would break out in a cold sweat, be nauseus and in unbearable pain.

Anyway, what I found out after my hysterectomy is that my bladder was being squashed by my uterus and one of the tumors. I feel GREAT today , drank a ton of water while laying on the couch talking on the phone and trying to rest from the surgery. I think I went almost four hours before I got up to pee. It was a first for me that is for sure.

So , my point is I guess...with your symptoms being so like mine, I suspect something is pressing on your bladder giving you all those mean sensations and believe me, I can relate. I hope that you can find some relief and a cause. In my case I don't know if this is a permanent thing for me now, or just an initial relief from the bladder symptoms, but it was such a nice day today not having that pain. ....thinking good thoughts for you. nanik

Thanks Nanik, thanks for the good thoughts, as you have mine as well. Hopefully it's all over for you and it's time to bask in the sunshine. Ans am hopeful of finding mine, but I know on thing for sure I won't give up until I do. Thank you.
