Is it cancer??

A week ago today I had to go the ER due to pain in right lower quaderant and temp of 101.5 f oral at 5 am (normally my temp is 97.4f oral) They did a ct and a untrasound internal and external.  They said I have a 7 inch mass in my abdomin (abdomen). I have to see a gyn surg. tomarrow. What do I need to ask him? They said good possibility of cancer. did a cancer marker test I have not heard from that yt. they said I need to "get it out of there NOW"  Is it cancer? what is next step if it is?

I forgot to tell you that I have had a hysterectomy 9 yrs ago for endometreoisis and  they only left this one ovary. duh I forgot that!

Too early to tell yet, unfortunately - we won't know what it is until the surgery. Remember that most masses are benign.   Please let us know the results of your CA125 test.  Remember that you are not alone, we are all with you.  Keep us posted on your doctor visit.  Hugs xoxo

Ok ,went to the gyn dr. today and he informed me that my mass has septated sections in it and the walls are thickened,however even the thickened walls are abnormal...they are thicker here than over there for example.  anyway he said I have to have a gynecologist/onycologist to do my surgery Not too sure what to think.willl have keep in touch.

Sorry you have to be going through this with all the worry and all.
It is good you have been referred to gyn onc. Have they scheduled surgery yet?
I will pray all is benign, which is still a possibility even though they are sending you to gyn onc.
They are best surgeons for a suspicious mass.
You will be in my thoughts and prayes.

I go today to the onyc. hopefully they will set up the surg date.  My nieces name is casey too. It felt good to even see that name as a commenter! (she is my favorite)  I  am going to the Duke doctors so I hope I am in great hands. Supposed to be top of this field.  Pray for a good outcome! I just can not sleep tonight in anticipation of the visit! I want this over with. Have hurt enough! I just want it out and then I can deal with whatever the results are.  Take care will keep U  updated!

I just got back from my Dr. Visit.  I am scheduled for surgery on the 23 of Jan. at Duke Hospital.  Long wait but that was her first available Or date. Will keep U all posted

Hello everyone I thought I would catch you up on everything.  I am still using the pain patches and change them every three days.  I am taking tylenol to help with the amount of pain I feel.  It is bad though.  The only time that ia actually get relief is when I am lying back in the recliner or when I am lying down in the bed.  Something about lying down gets the pressure off the area I guess.  I  go to Duke on Monday for my pre-op appt.  Take care and God Bless each of you.

Well I have had my pre-op appt. this past Monday and am scheduled for my surgery on Wed  Wish it were tomorrow.( not wishing my time away though. I will keep ya informed
