Is it recurrance

Is it recurrance

Hi
Firstly, thank you so much for all your previous help. It has been a rollercoaster year.
My mum has finished chemo 5 mths ago for 1c grade 2 ovca. She is still not her usual very lively self and is suffering from recurrant cystitis. No infection found. Very, very worried. Could this be back or am i paranoid?

Hi,
I too was dx'd 1c in Dec. of last year.  My last chemo was in April and my energy level is not like before treatment.  But it is getting better plus I wk full time.  It is normal to wonder if certain pains or recurrent infection could be recurrance.  Try not to worry (like asking you try not to breath) but continue to encourage your mom to get back to life as she knew it.  Your mom and I are very fortunate to have caught it early and have great chances for no recurrances.  Thank you for being a great daughter, and I pray that your mom will stop having infection and cont. to get better.  Kerry

I too am worried a little bit as i had an MRI done on my lumbar spine on wednesday because i was having some pain in that area and having to take oxycondone to help keep it lower. So ONC DR wanted to do an mri and still have not heard anything as to whats is going on there.Sometimes no news is good news but I am beginning to wonder if they are checking out with other drs on what is going on there before getting back to me. When you have cancer evrey little ache and pain makes you wonder about reacourance. I called yesterday and they were to call me back as usally they will call and tell you right away if things are good and still no word yet.

I too was a stage 1 and wrapped up chemo in October of '06.  It took a very long time to finally feel "normal".  After 5 months, I was back to work full time, but was napping regularly.  Being under anesthisia and undergoing 6 rounds of chemo is very tough on your body.  It is important for you and your Mom to understand that this normal and she will continue to feel more energy and more like herself with each passing month.  Hopefully she continues to have her follow up physical exams, CA 125 level tested and CAT scans.
