Is my treatment on right track ?

I am 54 , from Kolkata , India . Had ascitis  in lungs and abodomen . about 1.7 L plural fluid taken out from lungs .400 ml from abdomen , the plural fluid showed epithelial cells with " malignancy " .CA 125 reads more than 5000 .
CAT scan showed one overy has sizable tumour the other small one .No other organ said to be affected but I have omental thickening .The doctor says I have type III C Overian cancer . He will start chemo tomorrow . Doctor , Do I stand a chance ? Freinds , Anybody with similar case study to yell me of her experience . May kindly respond

You definitely stand a chance at remission.  Cure is unlikely, unfortunately.  However, many new drugs coming are being worked on .. so who knows what's in the future.

Many here have experienced very similar conditions as yours.  You definitely stand a chance for remission, at Stage IIIC cure is not likely.  Remission can last for years and when the disease comes back, there are many treatments available to prolong your life.  Make sure you are treated by a gynecological oncologist, this is VERY important.
