Is ovarian cyst cancer?

I am 64. Went to urgent care on Saturday. Pain over past 3 months in abdoman, legs, kidneys and back got so bad couldn't stand. I had blood in urine and elevated white blood cell count. Sent for ct scan that shows 7cm ovarian cyst. Given shot in hip for abdominal infection and given pain pills and antibiotics. Said if pain is bad again go to emergency immediately. I have constipation, bloating, I feel full and barely eat anything, I am tired. 4 months ago I was told there were metastasis in my bones. But no one has ever said I have cancer and I keep getting brushed off. Without the pain pills I can't handle the pain I feel like I am being stabbed in back and kidneys. Was told I do not have kidney stones or bladder infection. Should I push to see specialist?

Hi there
you need to see a doctor in the office such as a gynecologist or your primary care doctor.
emergency rooms are places where life threatening problems are evaluated and treated.

They did the right thing for you in the ER but now you have to take that information to a doctor who can do follow up care with you.

A 7 cm ovarian cyst is not normal at your age. Your gyn or PCP will probably want to get a consultation with a gyn oncologist and have a discussion about surgery.

But context is everything
you need total care. So other issues such as your bones and your intestinal health need to be addressed as well.

cancer diagnoses cannot be made without biopsies or surgery.
I hope everything works out. Please elt us know what happens
best wishes
