LDH and Platinum Resistance

LDH and Platinum Resistance

22 year old woman, stage 3 ovca, small cell carcinoma, large cell variant, hypercalcemic type.  has had 5 chemotherapy treatments, IV carboplatin/taxol/cisplatin.  LDH levels are out of the normal range.   CA125 normal range.  Pet scan shows cancer growth, and DR.  mentioned patient may be platinum resistant.  How do you find out if you are platinum resistant, and if so what do you do then?  What does an elevated LDH level mean and what do you do about that?  Second opinion at MGH was to have very aggressive in patient treatment.  Any opinion on that?  Thanks you for your help.

Thank you for your help.
I recieved an email saying my question at Medhelp had been answered and a donation to medhelp was solicited.   I want to make sure it's legit before I donate.

Hi There,
the subtypes of LDH can be tested as part of the lab tests.
I do not know the answer to your question about the donation thing. I will ask and get back to you
take care
