LMP pathology diagnosis

LMP pathology diagnosis

A year ago I had a large mass (22 cm) which was attached to my right ovary removed by an ob/gyn .  The pathology confirmed LMP ovarian cancer.  It was reasonable to assume that the story was finished.  But within 6 weeks after surgery, another mass presented itself on ultrasound, together with symptoms of fatigue, pain, bloating.  This time a full cancer staging laparotomy was done by a gynecologic oncologist, and the pathology of all the biopsies taken was negative.  He removed the left ovary and the mass and adhesions and remnants from the right ovary.  Again, we assumed the story was over.  11 weeks after this second surgery I had an ultrasound because I was experiencing once again excruciating pain and fatigue and bloating.  This showed a small mass (4 cm) arising from the area where the left ovary used to be.  This mass is described as having a solid component.  The ultrasound technician, when I pressed her, said that she did not think it was adhesions because they look very different.  The ultra sound was repeated 7 weeks later showing no change in size or appearance. My question is this, as far as the pathology goes, is it possible that the first diagnosis of LMP ovarian cancer was incorrect, or that the negative biopsies from the second surgery may have missed something?  I don't want another laparotomy if I don't need one but I don't want to take any chances either.  The fact that this mass appears to have a 'solid component' troubles me.  Thank you for your opinion.  I have been referred to a gynecologic oncologist for further evaluation.  CA125 test is normal.
