After a routine scan I was diagnosed with a Large Pelvic Mass 10cm by 7cm, swollen tubes, scarring and fluid in the pelvic area, I also have elevated CA125, I am 25 years old and refused surgery and was too scared on what the would find, Has anyone had similar symptoms and does anyone know if this is likely to be cancerous, will I need to have ovaries, tubes removed, I also have swelling in the abdomen and have no energy, this has been on going for about 5 months. I know I wont know for sure what it is until I do have surgery but at the moment I can not face it.
Um, I think I'd be too concerned NOT to have the surgery. If you're concerned enough to search web-sites regarding ovarian cancer, then you've learned enough about this disease to know not to playing a waiting game with it...because YOU WILL LOSE. I'm sorry I'm being blunt, but ovarian cancer is nothing to fool around with. I'm not saying you have this disease, but obviously something is wrong and you're not doing youself any favors by not getting it check out.
Regardless of whether your condition is benign or malignant, you will not get better unless you have surgery. Your condition will continue to worsen. By the way, benign cysts and tumors can cause all of the symptoms that you display, so to repeat what you were just advised - you are not doing yourself any favors by postponing or refusing surgery.
hi about all my life i had terrible pelvic pain and everyone said it was normal then when i started to have sex it was worse i made severl 2:00 er visits and one time someone actually told me i had an std. well when i got married i went to a specailist and pretty much demanded someone tell me what the hell is wrong and they done an ultrasound and found out that there was a 17mm mass on my right ovary and so we went to surgery the next day. I woke up and my husband told me they had to remove my ovary becouse it didnt have a mass on it it was the mass. still to this day no one can tell me what it was called or why i got it i still have not been able to get preggers who knows if i ever will as far as i know it was not cancer no one called me to tell me it was. If you are in pain please take care of yourself there is only one of you!
I think your surgery was wise. I am scheduled for a complete hysterectomy this week due to a large pelvic mass (14 cm) along with a CA125 count of 80. The mass seems to be fluid filled, but as far as if it is cancerous, we will wait and see. At that point I will deal with it then. I have been bleeding for 3 weeks and thought that I was experiencing bloating associated with a period related to the onset of menopause. Wow, it has really changed my world!
I just found out I have a mass also size of a fist from my ultrasound, I went in for my MRI this morning and could not do it because I am so clostrophobic. Nobody asked me this before, I was given a prescription for volum and have to go back Monday, My pain is tward my buttocks area kinda and when I push on my cervix it hurts, I had a c section 4yrs ago and it was my only one but I had a bad infection after it. Wondering if its realated to the c section scar. I have read it can be. Anyway he said its not attached to any organs but I am in pain and meanwhile they keep me waiting for appts.. UGH wanting to go to emergency room instead.. what a slow process. I have had pain off and on for 4-5 yrs since my c section and the docs never did a ultrasound because I didnt actually have the pain at the time of the visit.ERRRRR .. now I have a mass they missed. Why dont docs listen when we say OUCH!! Now the pain is every day off and on.
I hope we all get through this without a lot of problems and try to leave it behind and not have to worry.. I cant stand waiting ..
