Large right adnexal mass

I'm 39 years old and was just diagnoised with having a large right adnexal mass. Should I be worried. No one in my family has cancer and I am very anemic. Please advise.

I Googled "right adnexal mass" and found an excellent article in the American Family Physician archive called Diagnosis and Management of the Adnexal Mass by
Janet Drake M.D.   The article is long, but it lists (more than once) all the possibilities for an adnexal mass.  Most of the possibilitiies are NOT malignancies.  It's probably worth your time to read this article.

Please follow up with your doctor and get more information on this mass.  It's probably something benign, but everyone on this forum who has had anything to do with ovarian cancer would recommend that you make the doctor prove to you that you don't have it -- or deal with it promptly if there's any doubt.
