Back again, friends. Well, it appears that my wife, Jackie, can no longer tolerate cisplatin. For the second time it resulted in near kidney failure. We've been to both Johns Hopkin's Kimmel Center and NIH's Magnuson Center for consults and everyone is in agreement. No more platinum-based treatment for Jackie. On a more positive note, it appears that her CT scan in March showed (visually) very littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys tumor activity. So now, it's suggested we take a wait and see posturePosture Posture-d h/p and have periodic chest x-rays and CA-125/CBC/Renal labs. If we're lucky, the tumor activity may be receding for awhile...anyway it's hoped for. Thanks too to everyone for such great feedback and supportSupport Support 500. You're a great group.
Andrew,
I am sorry that Jackie can no longer tolerate the cisplatin. But it is a very hard drug to tolerate. It sounds like while she was on it though that it did what it was supposed to. Now I hope that things have settled down for her and that it stays that way.
Thanks for letting us know.
