Lesion on Ovary

Not sure if any one can help answer my ?s or not. I have a follow up apt on the 1st but was trying to find answers on line and was at a loss!! My dr's nurse just called and told me they found a 3cm lesion on my left ovary. she follows that by saying i have an introverted cyst. I asked do i have a cyst or a lesion....she says lesion. i say ok so no cyst but she says yes its in my ovary. So i am confused. cant find anything about lesions or introverted cysts!! I am not thinking negatively or panicing. I just want to know what they are talking about. Can anyone help me?? THanks

That does sound confusing.  It is a good sign when a cyst is under 5cm and not complex.  It sounds like a simple cyst but you might want to post on the ovarian cyst board.  That doesn't sound worrisome for ovarian cancer.  I know it is scary when you read all the possibilites on the net but that size sounds fine.  Best wishes.
