Little worried

Today my Mom is going for her CT scan.  Last night she had to drink the prep for the scan, she's done it for 2.5 years no problem.  Last night she felt a little sick and ended up vomitting.  She drank her prep at 8 pm and around 10 started not feeling well and then by 11 pm vomitte.  She never had that previously.  So when I heard this in the morning I started thinking that maybe the cancer got to the stomach (I have crazy thoughts always running threw my mind).  I called her doc and he said its probobly from the prep drink and she also took a zantac for stomach pain which could have caused it.  So just any advice on this would be great to calm me down a little.  Has anyone ever had vomitting from the prep.
Thanks so much
Fiana

Leslee almost always lost hers, doesn't seem like it affected the scan though.  She had it coming out both ends, almost immediately.  Your Mom will be fine, just stay strong .  Marty

My Mum did it 3 times. First time she stayed in bed for 3 days. Normally she does not complain about anything but she said that this preparation made her feel like after a 10 hour trip by car!
Second time ...no problem!
Third time she felt like vomiting for an afternoon but then it went away....

SO!!!! Don't worry and be positive

A big and ward hug to you and your mother!!!!!!

Nerves and the delightful taste can both make her throw up -- I usually gag on it but haven't actuallly thrown it up -- however, it does run out the other end ---I've been having them for five years and the more I have the worse it seems to get, probably partly from the anticipation.   I would seriously doubt this has anything to do with cancer -- taste the prep stuff yourself and you'll understand why someone would puke!

Fiana - I don't blame you for being nervous, your mom is lucky to have you at her side.

I always get sick from the CT Scan drinks....ALWAYS.....I usually have to drink it at the CT Scan place and I am in and out of the bathroom constantly.....never really sure which end it will come out of first (I know TMI...hehe).

Everyone reacts differently and I doubt that the CT Scan juice (as I call it) would indicate that there was cancer in her stomach any more then anything else she eats or drinks.  As the doctor said, it could be the zantac and sometimes when we eat or drink things, it just doesn't sit right...and it does NOT  indicate cancer.

I know it is hard, really hard, but try to be positive....hoping her scan results are clear.  Let us know.
