Lymph Node 2cm

Lymph Node 2cm

Doc,

My wife has a enlarged lymph node 2cm (Abdomen upper)which we are not sure if it is the lymph node or the chemo (Taxol / carbo) that is causing indigestion and gas.

Would you think that this is causing the indigestion.

She is currently taking Zantec for the indigestion which seems to help after a while is this the best medication for this sort of problem of indigestion.

We are beginning to worry that the chemo is not going to shrink the lymph node (3 sessions of taxol/carbo left CA125 stable 55) - with nothing else shown on the CT Scan (Ovarian Stage 3).

What would you say the best way to treat this should the remaining chemo not shrink the node:

1. Monitor the node if no increase in size and indigestion is managable with drugs - leave it.

2. Further chemo possibly different drugs

3. Surgery to remove the node

4. Radiation

She is 32 years old and tolerates the chemo fairly well.

Once again many thanks.

Kind Regards

Derek

Once again I thank you for your prompt reply.

I find this to be the best resource on the internet and has helped both my wife and myself to deal with issues and get answers to questions we have in between visiting our oncology team.
