MMMT Ovarian Cancer-Avastin

My mother was diagnosed with MMMT Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer a year ago.  She has recently been approved for Avastin.  I'm glad to hear you are at least stopping any progression.  We as well are praying for time for my mother to find a drug that helps.  If you have any other info. on Avastin. We would appreciate it.

I have not been on Avastin myself but there has been quite a few threads on this drug recently, so if you go into the top right hand corner of the screen where it says "Search Medhelp" and type in Avastin then hit go, it should bring up some information to help you.

Just found your post via Google. My wife has been on chemo of one sort or another for 5 years-MMMT was found under surgery in Aug 2003.
Her doctor wants to put her on Avastin, but Medicare(she is 67) has just turned us down. If you would give us details on how your doctor got the approval, we would be most grateful. tk35
