MRI tomorrow.... nervous

Doc thinks I have a dermoid tumor, but not sure if it is on the rt. ovary or uterus as they couldn't find those in either of my two US.  I had bloodwork done last week to help determine if its benign or not - he didn't say but I'm assuming to check the CA125 level.  They haven't called with those results, so maybe thats a good sign.  I have an MRI tomorrow at 6pm and get the results Fri at 10am.  Doc said its coming out regardless, so I know I'll have surgery.  I just dont know how much they will have to take out besides just the tumor.  Wish me luck...

Just close your eyes and try to relax.  The music is a great idea!

I was nervous about my MRI last year.  It was not that bad at all.  They let me try being in it before they started the exam to see if I would be ok with the enclosure.  No problem.  I just closed my eyes and imagined I was on the beach in the Bahamas. I really enjoyed the trips that I had there.  It was so nice I'm surprised that I did not have a sun burn when the test was over.
Good luck and take some deep breathes.

Mid

My son has had many MRIs and like suzen said they are loud and boring because you have to keep really still.
What he did was, he took a CD and ask them to put it on and it drowned out the nosie of the machine.

"Dont think they liked his taste of music" but they played it.

Good luck for tomorrow and i be thinking of you.
Take care Mid from OZ

Good luck.  MRIs are painless but annoying because they're loud and you have to stay very still for a long time.

Waiting for the results is the worst!
