Yes, she has been uncharacteristically quiet.  I haven't seen her on Facebook either.  Sure hope all is OK.

Usually i don't have a chance to answer posters because my slow reaction, These days i do. i don't know weather it is a good sign or not.

Just got off the phone with Marie.  As suspected, her chemo side effects are proving to be very tough this round.  Her computer is downstairs, she has little energy to get to it.  She is still upbeat, plans to get scanned within the next week or two and if this stuff is working may need 6(!!!) more rounds.  She gives her love to all,

I was beginning to wonder about her too. I figured correctly in that she was probably too weak to take on the stairs to get to her computer. I wish someone in her family would move that thing upstairs OR provide her a laptop.  I got my laptop out the other day for the first time in six months. I figured I'd better update it in case I needed it.  It took over two hours to get it back to operating efficiency on the WiFi hookup. I sure wish someone would do the same for Marie.

Marie, if you read this my friend, stay patient and wait for your strength to come back. I know how hard that is because I am going through almost the same thing with you. MANY of us are in the same boat.

No treatment yesterday.  My blood counts were really bad.  This is new, because they have been excellent for every other treatment.  It explains alot.  I have been really down.  Even the tiny things are too hard for me.  This delays my scan a week.  She plans on treating me next Monday and then scanning on 5/28.  I needed this break.  I have even been very depressed and just have not been myself.  I admire westajul for sailing through this chemo.  She must be one tough cookie!!!!  Since I get a week off I hope to get some strength back. Thanks to bohan54 for calling me.  I enjoyed our talk.  Love to all, Marie

Good to hear from you, Marie.  I'm sorry you're having such a rough time with chemo.  I'm also sorry you couldn't get chemo on schedule, but I'm glad you are getting the much needed break.  Take care, and thoughts and prayers are heading your way!

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time and you are one TOUGH lady( in the good sense). I really really really hope all the trouble you have had is worth it and your tumors are shrinking. I didn't have the tough times you have had...I just figure it is the stubborn cancer fighting back since it knows it is being destroyed :). I had hoped you would sail through like I did...I am glad you the week off to get back on your feet.

I am not sure if I should add the next part...so if you are too tired...just skip the rest of this message.

I was told that most people using the chemotherapy you are on ...have to have 12 rounds. They tell you six but everyone I have spoken with have had 12 treatments( those who have had success on this treatment regime). I was told 6 then 10 but I actually had 12 rounds. I know that sounds daunting and it is...take care and stay strong!!! Julie

   It is good to hear from you. I am not sure what chemo you are on, but am sorry that it is hitting you so hard. If it helps any, I have found that a lot of times the side effects will gradually ease up the longer I am on it, so I hope that this is the case for you.  I also hope that they get your blood counts straightened out and that you have no more problems with them.
  Take care my friend and get all the rest you need so you can get back to your normal perky self.  You are in my prayers.

Good to hear from you, Marie.  Living alone and dealing with cancer must be near unbearable.  I hope a little time off will help with your side effects.  I figure an extra week off here and there is not going to make a big difference in the effectiveness of the chemo.  It is going to work or it "ain't".  Hang in there and know we all care how you are doing.  Will be keeping you in my prayers.
