Mass in right ovary...questions

My Doctor found a large mass in my right ovary. When they did the ultrasound they found that the mass has filled my ovary. could this be a sign of ovarian cancer? He also did the blood test to see if it is csncer.

can you please give more information such as the exact wording of the ultrasound report
and other factors that are important in understanding the context of an ultrasound finding such as:
-your age
-your last menstrual period
-why did you have the scan done?
-other relevant history such as endometriosis, infertility, prior surgeries

Hi I'm 35 years old. I had a partial hysterectomy in Feb. He has said before that I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome. I also had a cyst drained on my L ovary last year.i had the scan done because my medical Doc thought I had apendicitis and when they did the CT scan of my pelvis they found the mass. So when I saw my OBGYN he ordered the ultrasound. The woman who did the ultrasound said that there was a small cyst on my L ovary, and the mass on my R ovary has compleatly filled my R ovary. I hope this information helps.

if you have had recent surgery, then the surgeon has recently evaluated the abdomen. There should be biopsies and pathology reports.  Hopefully these all showed that you did not have any sign of malignancy

as general rule, you should get copies of your operative notes and pathology reports . look through them to be sure you have a clear understanding of what was seen

You should also get copies of your CT scan and ultrasound reports so you can see exactly what was seen.
