Most effective Chemo Cocktail for Ovarian Cancer

My research seems to show that Cisplatin and Paclitaxel is the gold standard, but I am wondering if adding Topotecan or another drug is better.

Hi There,

The single best drug in the treatment of ovarian cancer is cisplatin or carboplatin. The addition of paclitaxel to cisplatin was shown to extend the 'disease free interval' compared to cisplatin and cytoxan in first line chemotherapy. Other drugs have been studied as first line drugs including topotecan but have not been shown to be better.
