My wife aged 59 years underwent Surgery for CA Ovary & was put on 6 cycles of chemo ( Taxol + Paraplatin)in April 2008.She remained Disease Free till dec2010. In Jan 2011 she had increased level of CA 125 & was again put on 3 cycles of (Taxol + Cispaltin). My question is the recurrence has occurred after 30 months. For how long we can expect that the patient will remain Disease Free?. Is there any possibility that she does not get the disease any more?.

There is no way to say how long your wife will be disease free, or if the disease will ever return.  She went two and one half years after her initial treatment....maybe this round will knock it out for good.
I wish there was a way to answer you....that is one of the many things making this disease so hard to deal with.  It's scary.
