Need advice or suggestions

My mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer awhile ago, and has then had a number of surgeries which included removing the lymph node in the pelvic region.  Now her leg has swelling from the built up fluid in her body in that area.  She has already tried compression stockings, massage, and elevation but none of these methods seem to have much sucess.  Is there anybody whose had this problem before and is there any other methods or suggestions to relieve the swelling?

Treatment by pneumatic compression requires a physician or healthcare providers prescription. It is not something that someone can decide to undertake on there own. As I posted earlier CONSULT YOUR ONCOLOGIST.

Your Mom should be careful about self-treating her swollen leg.  If it is just lympedema then massage/compression can help.  If it is a blood clot, massage/compression will make it worse.  She should talk to her doctor about it.

She might try a pneumatic lymphedema pump. Talk to her oncologist about this. Here is a site with info on it.
