Need some advice please. Don't know what to do.

I have been experiencing pain and pressure in pelvis and groin. I have multiple small but hard lymph nodes that have been persisitent in the right and left groin. My Doc sent me for a CT scan and the report stated:
1.There is a left adnexal cyst measuring 3.7 by 2.8 cm. This would be best evaluated w/ ultrasound rather than CT.
2. There are no enlarged lymph nodes in the groin or elsewhere in the pelvis. Only small, normal sized inguinal lymph nodes are noted.
3. Probably a small amount of free pelvic fluid

The fact that the report states no enlarged lymph nodes is confusing to me. The lymph nodes are noticeably palpable and larger than they were before. They are also hard and have gotten a little bigger. My doctor has also confirmed by examining me. My doctor has referred me to a Gynocologist for follow up. I decided to wait until my period to see if my symptoms would subside. It has been a month now and the symptoms are still present. Oh and  I have a Gyno appt in 3 days.

My question is: Does this mean I should not be concerned about the lymph nodes. I have had the pressure and pain in my groin down my leg for awhile and now I have tenderness and pressure in my pelvis. The pressure and pain in my groin and leg is predominately on the right side although the cyst noted was on the left. The pelvic tenderness and pressure is both sides. Please give me some insight. Could this be Ovarian cancer?

Hi,  You are doing what's best and what you need to do. Pain there can mean many things. I hurt in my groin, but my lymph nodes are no problem. I have restless legs. Just let our gyno do his or her job and stay busy. Good luck and God bless. Texas Grannie
