News about Salvator (Salvator is my tumor, we named him)

by montie, Nov 16, 2006 12:00AM
Ok, here is the latest.  I had my MRI done and saw the dr. today. He said they still can't tell if the tumor is attached to the ovary or the uterus so they are referring me out of town to a gyno/oncologist to do surgery.  Anyone have any experience with a tumor that looks attached to the uterus and the ovary?

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Montie,
My tumor was so large (it grew from a canteloupe size to basketball size in one week) they couldn't tell what it was attached to, surgery revealed it was attached to only my left ovary.  Pathology determined cancer only at the very center of the tumor - stage 1A.  I am very lucky, but I remember very well how scared I was before my surgery.  I am praying for you.
Take Care,
Erika
