OVARAIN MASSES

I have just been diagnosed with 2 billateral masses each requiring vertical incision surgery..masses most likely benign..i had endometriosis years ago. I am very nervous and anxious...they think they may be able to avoid hysterectomy...One cyst looks like dermoid (10cm) and I possible endometrioma (12cm)...if anyone can give me some good helpful advise I could really use it now..I am not a medicine taker and I am very anxious as what to expect.  I am 40 years old..they may have to take an ovary also. I would really appreciate some feedback. I am stressing about this endlessly!!! Thank you.

Hello, I just came form a trans/vag Ultrasound to evaluate bilateral pelvic masses this morning and now I am anxiously awaitng the results.  I couldn't get any info or feeling from the tech so of course this is driving me nuts as I have been having symptoms since Feb of 06.  I had an emergency laparotomy eight years ago(for a large dermoid), my ovary was able to be saved and then I had two c-sections in following years.  The laparotomy recovery was no different then recoving from the c-sections.  I delivered an "alien" first but at least I got two beautiful girls from the c-sections.  I'm ready for surgery again, anything at this point to feel well.  I know it's hard to not be fearful but you never walk alone through these difficulties and you can get great comfort from both the great "angels" here and your trust in God that all will be well again soon.  Good Luck.
