Orgasms-Do Cervix &/or Uterus Help?

Please see my last post, I mistakenly put the title as "Dr. Goodman".    My question is whether the cervix and or the uterus contribute to orgasms.   I need to have my ovaries removed and the cervix/uterus are optional.    Anybody have experience with this?    Thank you!

hi there,
There was a very nice study looking at the issue of sexual functioning after a total hysterectomy that removed the uterus and cervix versus a supracervical or subtotal hysterectomy which means the cervix was left in place.

Obstet Gynecol 2005 volume 105 pages 1309-1318.
The authors looked at 135 women who were randomly assigned to undergo either a total hysterectomy or a supracervical subtotal hysterectomy. They evaluated sexual functioning preoperatively, and at 6 months, one year and two years postoperatively. Both groups reported few problems with sexual functioning and there was no difference in sexual functioning between these two groups  at two years.
