OvCa radiation plus chemo?

Another woman (extended family) was given the diagnosis today. At least part of it: the abdomen looked clear at surgery time, they found some cancer in the ovaries but still testing the tumor in the uterus. The news was if it was ovarian only, she'll have chemo. If it involved the uterus, she would have radiation and chemo. I don't recall anyone here mentioning radiation treatment for cancer in that area. Anyone know about this? Yes, she had a full hysterectomy.

Thank you. Perhaps they'll only add radiation if there was a problem with the uterus as well. I don't know yet which chemo regimen she'll be having but they assured her she wouldn't have much nausea with it, just (?) the hair loss and fatigue. We'll see what happens next.

Radiation is still used for some ovca cases, but not too often.  I asked about a radioactive I/P wash, but was told it was not an option.  I hope they find hers has not spread otside of the ovary.  Marie
