Ovarian Cancer

I recently had an ultrasound and a CAT Scan done for a mass on my right ovary.  I had the CV-125 test done and my doctor said it came back fine, however, my CAT Scan states that it could be cystadenoma, cystadenocarcinoma or endometrioma.  Can I rule out any type of cancer now?  I have scheduled an appt w/a gyno next week.

Completely rule out cancer?  Unfortunately, no.  A biopsy is required to determine if the mass is benign or malignant.   It's frustrating, isn't it?  Perhaps someday a truly reliable, non-surgical test will be developed for detecting ovca.
