I am 33 years old & in January I started having pain in my lower abdominal, nausea, I stopped have a menstrual cycel or it only lasted 1 to 2 days. I went to the Dr in April and he did blood work and an ultrasound and found I had a cyst on my right ovary and my hormones were out of wack. He gave me birth controlControl Control rx to take to see if it would make the cyst go away and to regulate my menstrual cycel. I went back at the end of June and the cyst was still there and had gotten bigger. I just went back yesterday 8/30 and it is still there and had gotten even bigger and my menstrual cycel is every month now but only 1 to 2 days. Durning the ultrasound he asked me if I had ever had femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction surgery. The Dr is going to a Diagnostic Laparotomy, is there anything I should be worried about? Could it be cancer?
Thank you, I have my consultaiton with the doctor that is doing the surgery on 12th and the surgery on the 18th. I will be asking the Doctor on the 12th more questions.
A laproscopy is the easier surgery... they will make 3-4 small incisions; one in your belly button and 2-3 small ones along the sides for a light, the camera, and the instruments. Recovery is not bad.. you just have to be really careful not to lift things for about two weeks, and you'll be moving pretty slow for a week or so. Hopefully they get your cyst out and everything will get back to normal. :)
Hang in there, and keep us posted!
