Ovarian Cysts

I am going for my third ultrasound, with 2 CA125 as normal, however no one can answer my question. I am 61, had a hysterectomy 20 years ago with both ovaries not removed, why would I be getting ovarian cysts.

how big are the cysts? Turn out benign ovarian cysts are very common in the menopause. Clearly they are not related to ovulation. but benign tumors are common. Also fluid can build up in an adhesion after surgery. that can look like a cyst.
It sounds like you are being carefully monitored

The doctor did mention scar tissue, I just thought 20 years later was a long time for this occurrence. I am having another ultrasound in a few weeks, if the cysts are still there, it was recommended that they be removed. The size is about 3.2m

Sorry but I am not a fan of surgery and the word Cancer is slightly frightening. I'll wait and see.
