Ovarian Pain

    I am doing a project for one of my classes and I was wondering if ovarian pain could be caused because of puberty, ovarian cancer, or even mastrubation.

Having sex would cause these same symptoms I would think, any pressure in that area could.  So I still maintain masturbation did not cause OC or cysts.  I think some people come in here to post things just to be funny about subject matter that is quite serious and in some cases life threatening...........thats very disturbing to me.

Have a friend who complained about pain in middle of her stomach after masturbating.  She says pain got worse until one day, after masturbating, she was in extreme pain for more than 15 minutes and believes she may have burst a cyst.  A year later, she was diagnosed with OC.

I don't know where masturbation could have possibly entered into this thinking.............far be it from to criticize these university ideas haha...anyway........cysts are painful.....very!!!! I don't think puberty makes sense either.

I believe that the only things that would cause ovarian pain would be ovulation, cysts (tumors or masses - benign or malignant), PID....physically, I do not see how masterbation could cause ovarian pain.
