Ovarian and fallopian tube cancer

by shells133, Sep 20, 2009 04:15AM
My mother is 55 years and recently had surgery for tumour removal in the ovary. Reports show that it was malignant and purely differentiated cancer of fallopian tubes and ovary. Docs say that this is very bad type and was spread far into other surrounding areas like appendix.
We have to start chemo after a month so please suggest economical and best hospital treatment wise for this type of cancer.
Also, need opinion regarding the chances of survival in these type of cancer.

So sorry to here about your mother.  Did you mean undifferentiated cancer?

My mother had primary peritoneal cancer (treated as ovarian ca) at age 62 with extensive spread in the peritoneal cavity.

I don't know where your mother lives, but MD Anderson in Texas is an excellent cancer center, but there are many others.

Hugs
