Ovarian cancer..?

I am so scared that something is wrong with my ovaries..
I am 34 years old and have one child. In end of july, I had my regular period. It was as usual. But then 10 days later I started spotting and had some period pain..I went to gynecologist and he took a transvaginal ultrasound, there he saw a uterine polyp. September 1st I had the hysteroscopy to remove the polyp. Pap test and endometrial biopsy and polyp were all normal. After hysteroscopy I have had spotting on and off each day and my period is still not here( i have always had a little bit irregular periods), and some period like pain and also pain and piching on my left side that radiated to my back and leg. I was to gynecologist last week and ultrasound showed everything was normal, doctor said there were many small follicles on my ovaries but he said that they were normal because i have not had period yet.He also said that they were so small that they couldn´t make me have pain in leg and back, he thinks that is something else. He also said that spotting was normal to expect for the first month after hysteroscopy.

I am still feeling scared that I have ovarian cancer. Should I trust my doctor which says he is sure it is not?(I have been to another female gynecologist that said the same thing).

Thanks for any answers from someone with experience.

Hysteroscopy can cause spotting. And if the polyp was not removed at the stalk, that can cause irregular bleeding too (as can polyps themselves). Most ovarian cysts are part of the normal cycle. And even when they hang around longer than usual, they typically go away on their own. Even ones that require surgical intervention (due to size and/or appearance) are in MOST cases benign (non-cancerous).

Since two gynecologists have told you this is not ovarian cancer, this should put your mind at ease. Absent a family history of ovarian cancer, your lifetime risk is less than 2% (1.3% to be exact).

Ultra sound is good at showing Ovarian Cancer.  They could tell from my ultra sound that it was Ovarian Cancer.Your life time risk if you do not have the genetic mutation and family history is less than 2%. I monitor it and let your doctor know your symptoms. You can always get a second opinion if you do not trust your doctor. FYI Pap smears  an Endometrial biopsies do not show Ovarian Cancer. I did not know this and thought I was in the clear because they were normal. Ultrasound, CT Scan and a blood test which is not all that accurate called CA 125 are used to diagnose Ovarian Cancer.

I spotted  after my hystercetomy for a few weeks.
