Ovarian cyst complex

I have a large compex ovarian cyst 46mmx36mmx96mm the report says there is a small amount of vascular flow does this mean it is more likely to be cancerous?

While most ovarian cysts are benign , there are a few factors that help determine whether surgery or a repeat scan is the best next step.

size and complexity are 2 factors to consider:

cysts that are greater than 4 to 5 cm usually will not resolve
complex cysts have both fluid and solid elements
checking a CA 125 blood test can give some information, although it can be elevated in benign conditions such as inflammation and endometriosis

I agree with ichoosejoy: for a 9 cm complex cyst, the best next step is surgical removal.

Anytime the cyst is complex there is the possibility of cancer.  The *only* way to know for sure is to remove it and have it looked at.   Many times the larger the cyst the greater the risk of cancer as well, although cancer can be found in small cysts as well.   Hope for you that it is not cancer.  I would make sure to have a gyn/onc look at your report.  Don't let this sit and wait.
