Ovarian cysts and extreme pain

Hi,

I have a history of cervical cancer, which I am in remission. I have been having a lot of abdominal/pelvic/back pain, especially on the right side. I ended up in the ER, where an ultrasound showed I have a cyst on my R ovary, approx 4 cm in size. They said it is possibly collapsing. I am having a great deal of pain. I was told to follow up with a gynecologist. My right ovary is also about 5 times larger than the left. They didn't tell me what type of cyst it is. But with the extreme pain and vaginal bleeding, I am very concerned. My endometrium is also thickened.

I have tried looking online for information on all of this, but everything is so confusing. Does anyone have any insight about this or advice as to what I should expect? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there
you should see a gynecologic oncologist to review your xrays

if you had an invasive cervical cancer, I assume you were either treated with a radical hysterectomy or radiation.

Therefore it is very important to follow up with a physician who is familiar with the long term consequences of those therapies
best wishes to you
