Ovarian cysts and hydrochlorothiazide

I talked to the Phlebotomist at the hospital where I am scheduled for a complete abdominal hysterecomy June 12th 2007. She told me that she had developed cysts on her ovary consistent with use of hydrochlorothiazide after seeing a local gynecological specialist. We live in Syracuse, New York.
My question is whether or not anyone has ever had a cyst dissolve after stopping the hydrochlorothiazide or if it is possible that the complete hysterectomy may not be necessary. Maybe I could get by with a lapyroscopy instead.
Please hurry as I only have 11 days left to make a decision.

I am a nurse, and have never heard or read of Hydrochlorothiazide being linked with ovarian cysts.  Question for you, if it is just a cyst why a complete hysterectomy?  there must be something else wrong.
