Overian tumor

Hi!
My elder syster in her 32 having fever during last 2 weeks with back pain. She has diagnosed with urine infection and has a tumor in her overy in the risk stage. Some Drs. were suggested to go for surgery immediately and some other not now. According to the second one as the infection has spread, so it may cause further serious infection after surgery . So they suggested to have some medicines for 3  months to minimise the infection and then go for surgery!

Please suggest me will it be wise to be late in surgery or is there any risk for overian cancer.

Patient to Patient.  You are so great for having so much concern for your sis.  She is very lucky.  For possible OVCA would want a gynecologic oncologist surgeon.  Support groups know who the best are in major cities, if available.    Not sure who all would be best for the infection problems, gynecologists, internists, family practice, or infection specialists (the specialty name escapes me).  Could always get second opinions, AND/OR  have some of the dissenting docs conference call with you and your sis included.  Maybe that would help.  All the best as you figure out what feels right for her and you and what you feel is best.  Figure out some questions you might have for these guys.  Good Luck.

thanx for your comment ! I want to know if the OVCA is related with cough & fever & also with TV? My sis was once (12 yrs back) diagnosed with tv .Though she was fully cured but she is now having cough with fever on almost 15 days . She is also diagnosed with lower haemoglobin.
