This patient support community is for discussions relating to ovarian cancer, biopsy, chemotherapy, clinical trials, genetics, hysterectomy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, screening, and staging.
i was diagnosed last april with the BRACA2 genetic mutation, after being on chemo for 5 years the doctors decided to put me on a phase 1 trial drug which is a PARP inhibitorAlpha-glucosidase inhibitors, since then i have gone into part remission and am doing very well. as far as i am concerned this is a massive step forward for all cancer suffers which will open up a whole new world. has any body else experienced the PARP inhibitorsAlpha-glucosidase inhibitors.
Hi Julie,
I'm also BRCA2 positive, I'm going to discuss the PARP inhibitorAlpha-glucosidase inhibitors to my oncologist, since I'll be starting my 3rd kind of chemo soon.
I'm staged 4B and remission is something that has eluded me for 2 1/2 years so far.
she was also diagnosed in 2002 with 3C ovarian and has endured a lot of chemo since then so we're all very hopeful about this trial.
