Thanks for the feedback. I guess I just assumed this was what we needed to do. I am seeing my GYN in a few days before my scheduled surgery I will ask about a CT scan and MRI. I do have PCOS and during the ultrasound he made a comment that my right ovary seems to be attached to my uterus and that I have some endometrioma (excuse my spelling) so...I guess I will just ask more questions and see what the surgery finds. Thanks again for replying.
No one's risk for ovarian cancer are extremely high, it is a relatively rare disease. Also, I was told by a GYN/Oncologist, a cyst doesn't turn bad like many other cancers, it is either cancer or it is not.
What about a CT Scan, or an MRI, before juming into laprascopic surgery? And if there is even the slightest chance of cancer, please get a 2nd opinion, preferrably from a GYN/Oncologist....they are the specialist with an additional 3 years of training.
Cysts can produce all the symptoms you are describing.
I would ask that they do other tests before an invasive procedure.
