Has anyone ever heard of past std's and PID causing later in life endometrial or ovary problems?? I often wonder if there might be a connection.

Hi Pearl Lady, when I first ended up in the emergency unit I was diagnosed with PID but when the pains didn't go away after antibiotics thats when I went for a scan and they found the cyst. I did ask the doctor if I had once had PID that had caused the cyst and she said 'no' It had been a misdiagnosis.

I don't know if this helps at all.

Hi Cherubic, Yes this helps. It was just one of those questions running around in my head. My Dr. dosen't seem too worried about my cysts and if there is no cancer he will put me on hormones because I am so close to menopose.
