Pain in pelvis and Lower Back

I am 29 years old and I have one child (who is 9). In July of 2009 I began to experience a sharp squeezing pain during orgasmOrgasmic dysfunction (lower left pelvicKegel exercises
Pelvic adhesions
Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid)
Pelvic laparoscopy
Prostatitis - nonbacterial
Uterine prolapse area). After about a month I began dealing with dull, achy pain in my lower back. At firstFirst progesterone mc10
First progesterone mc5
First-progesterone vgs 200
First-progesterone vgs 400 I thought that I might be pregnant; becasue I had other symptoms that reminded me of early pregnancy with my son. After starting my period only one day later than expected I quickly shrugged off the possibility of pregnancy. As well, i had taken Pregnancy tests at home before and after my normal period just to be sure and they all were negative. For 10 weeks the lower back pain got progressively worse. As did the pain in my lower left pelvicKegel exercises
Pelvic adhesions
Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid)
Pelvic laparoscopy
Prostatitis - nonbacterial
Uterine prolapse area. I began feeling "heavy" and always felt like my reproductive organs were under pressurePressure ulcer.. Two weeks ago i finally broke down and went to the Doctor. ( I have never been one to go unless I thought something was REALLY wrong) I went becasue my lower back was spasaming  and I wanted an MRI. INSTEAD My doc gave me a pelvicKegel exercises
Pelvic adhesions
Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid)
Pelvic laparoscopy
Prostatitis - nonbacterial
Uterine prolapse exam, and ordered CA 125 testing. She told me that she would refer me for an ultra sound - and I would be expecting a call to have that scheduled. She did not find any mass during the exam, and i am still waiting for the ultra sound to be scheduled. (3 days waiting now). NEW AS OF YESTERDAY: when I put pressure on my pelvic area I have a burning sensation that radiates into my back, and I have been having shooting pains down my left thigh. This morning (10/9) I woke up in the early hours to incredible low back pain. My bladder was full, and figured it was pressing on nerves already irritated, but when I went to "sit" my back spasamed again, and the warm burning sensation in my pelvis turned into a fiery nauseating pain that had me doubled over for about a few minutes. I managed to get to my muscle relaxers, and ibuprofen...relaxed for an hour, and then was able to go about my day in "normal pain".. The odd thing is that my "normal pain" has dissipated through out the day.. I suddenly feel no pressure..no back pain.. nothing.. and the pills I took this morning are the only ones I have taken all day.. My Doctors office is closed on the weekends, so i am curious if anyone of you have experienced this, or knows anything about what I might be experiencing.. I am thinking cyst? ruptured cyst? Ovarian cancer - hard to judge..

Gail,

Thank you so much for your response.. It is odd, today marks over 24 hours since the most intense pain I have experienced over the last 10 or 11 weeks; I am now experiencing minor pains in my lower back again but it is very minimal in comparison to what I have been experiencing. Just enough to know its there if I bend a certain way, or push on my lower abdomen.. I am unsure if the office will be open monday, but I do intend on calling and pushing for my US. And I have another GYN lined up for a second opinion if this doctor doesn't give me some answers. Maybe I will be lucky and escape the possibility of Ovarian cysts or cancer.. but something is causing pain..
Thank you again!

From what you are describing, it sounds like it is a ruptured cyst.  Has the pain returned at all?  I think it's wise you continue to follow up with your doctor, because you want to cover all the bases.  Be sure to give the office a call on Monday, and go ahead with the US.  But I think you can be fairly confident your problem may have resolved itself.

Good luck to you.

Gail
