Pain where ovary was removed 2yr ago

by chrys555, Oct 02, 2005 12:00AM
I am 32 & had my right ovary removed about 2 years ago because of a large dermoid.  It cleared up the severe pain I was having but 2 years later, I am having what feels like pain centered where the ovary was.  I am also having lower back pain & some joint pain. I would say the 'ovary' pain is not severe but it seems odd to feel pain there, and the back pain is a bit more distracting.  could it be scar tissue or adhesions this much post-surgery(never had pain in the past??? Any suggestions for further course of action?

Thanks,
chris

Do ya still have your other ovary..If ya do it could be another cyst on that one.The pain doesnt always come on the side that the cyst is on... HOPe things get better...

My suggestion is to see your doctor.  It is most likely scar tissue that is causing the problem, but an ultrasound would show some details.
