Hello, so sorry I missed your post. I sure hope your surgery went well. I did not have laperoscopy, I was cut hip to hip..unfortunately when they got in there they found both ovaries were encased tumors (that is why it did not show apparently, it appeared as enlarged ovaries.) I was debaulked completely at this time and was stage 3C. I hate 6 treatments carbo/taxol, but did not get remission the tumor grew back where my right ovary was. Found to be chemo resistent, so opted for watch and wait the 2 yrs. to see if body would then accept chemo again. Lucky for me the cancer is still stable and we are still not going to do chemo until it becomes more agressive. (the tumor has grown from just over 2cm at the end of chemo in may of 2004 to just over 4cm at last look. I just had a PET done but have no results yet. As for pain, I am on morphine as needed. I wish you all the best

Pain came with recurrent ovca 3c, tumor pressing on nerve as well, and also with blockage. Prior to diagnosis, was more a feeling that something was very wrong, and abnormal abdominal swelling, along with bleeding. Prior to debulking, only had one severe pain stab that doubled me over, but it never returned so did not think it was a problem. All of my tests including CA125, came back normal, lucky for me my gyno. believed me when I told him something was very wrong, and scheduled a hysterectomy, that is how my cancer was found. Good Luck and  best wishes.

Thanks for all the input. I guess I should just wait and see what the test shows.  I still think its cysts.  They nevr hurt this badly before though. Thats why I am a little concerned.  Won't do any good to dwell on it though. Thanks again.  All information is appreciated.

I had a lot of abdominal pain, but I thought it was a pulled muscle or "just" a hernia.  I didn't take it that seriously until I had a pinched nerve in my back that send sharp screaming pain down my left leg, lower back and left butt.  I was in tears and could barely walk.  I went to my GP and she said it wasn't a hernia and sent my to a gyn who ordered a CA 125 and scheduled me for a TVUS.  The tech took so many measurements I knew I was in trouble.  It is 3c.  All of that pain was because my ovaries were so big they wre pressing on a nerve.
Good luck to you.

I never had pain, just pelvic pressure. I became very uncomfortable which finally put me in the ER. The pelvic pain was from 4 liters of fluid building up in my stomach. Every woman is different, symptoms are different. Best of luck, Deandra

Well I said I had some sharp jabbing pains in my ovary (have had a history od cysts), and he said cysts are not that type pain...and we are doing a ultrasound to check if thee is cancer.  The "brilliant one is not the surgeon. he was just with him this day.  That was on the right. Now for the past three days or so I have had dull hot pain in left ovary area...so much so that its hard to walk at times.....I guess wait and see what the test shows....I know there is not pain until its too late, thats what they tell you but I still think this is either the pulling from the prolapse uterus or cysts and Im looking for reassurance I suppose. Thanks

I had urinary urgency and frequency...really, really, bad - I kept going in to check for a bladder infection even though I didn't have burning.   Also, I did have spells of pelvic pain and my periods and ovulations became very painful again after a decade of no cramps.

Leslee had pain, enough to send her to the doctor for 4 1/2 months, at least 4 appointments, always IBS!!!!  ha ha, she fianally got that very precious second opinion,  a very painful pelvic was enough to find the damn tumor and from there on it was scans, blood work and surgery in 5 days. stage 3.

Thats a crock of sh@t.  RUN do not walk to another doctor.  I had a low dull ache last March.  left side on a scale of 1 to 10 it was maybe a 4 or 5 but it didin't go away.. after tests and exploratory surgery I have Stage IV.  My oncologist said she only wished that people could have horrible pain when Ovarina cancer starts so she could cure people... Why do you think they call it "The WHISPERING cancer... because it whispers symptoms... That doctor is a jerk..... The only way you can tell if you have cancer is with a biopsy not a sounds like.. duh.. again RUN to a new doctor.
