Peace at last!

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to let the ladies on here who have been a tower of strength to me over the last three yearsand 4 months  that my lovely Mum passed away yesterday, in the early hours of Friday 6th August. She was a very strong woman who battled until the end. She went into the hospice on Monday afternoon, 2nd August, just after her  Grandaughters birthday which was on the Sunday 1st- and, even then, still managed to hold on until her beloved Grandson's 16th birthday on  Wednesday 4th August. I wish that she had allowed herself to be looked after by myself and family for longer, but know that was not 'her'! She continued to think of others and do things despite the teriffic pain she must have endured. She even left a folder for me with handwritten notes, letters, names and addresses, funeral arrangements, etc.-all carefully written down by her to help me arrange everything after she had gone. My Dad, myself and my brother were all with her throughout her last hours and this has been a great source of comfort.
I would like to thank you for the help and support I have recieved from you and will continue to keep you strong, wonderful people in my prayers .x

Please accept my sympathy for your great loss.  Reading your post actually made me smile through the sadness at the selfless attitude your mother had.  I am so glad you were able to spend time with her in her last moments.  May you always keep her memory close to your heart.
