Pelvic & back pain after cold-knife cone biopsy

Hello, I had a cold-knife biopsy done on Fri.,2/6/09.  After the procedure I was absolutely fine, I had no pains & just a little menstrual bleeding for 3 weeks up until Fri., 2/27.  I had intercourse with my husband 2 days after, we waited just to be sure that all bleeding was done and that I was feeling fine.  Then on Mon. afternoon (3/2) I started to feel severe pains in my lower back and in my pelvic area at the lower left & right of my womb (sharp stabbing pains), shortly after this I started to bleed.

I went to my OB/GYN and he did an internal exam along with a sonogram.  I was told that there was some trapped blood and that my ovaries were swollen but I will be fine after a few days, just take some Motrin.  He also gave me the results from the biopsy that was initially performed – it was “carcinoma in situ” but he said that all of the abnormal cells were removed.

This weekend, the pain in my pelvic area has diminished a bit but I am still bleeding and am now feeling severe pains in my lower back area traveling down my buttocks into my legs.  I am feeling this pain when I sit, stand, walk & even when lying down.  Has anyone had a similar experience or do you know what the problem might be?
