I went through menopause at 40 and have taken hormone replacements for past 3 years. I am now 44. Having abdominal pain, my doctor ordered a Trans Vaginal ultrasound. The result-"right ovary is grossly enlarged with a rounded mixed echogenic mass. This mass is multiseptate, no calcification and has a smooth outline.Probable complex cyst, may represent haemorrhage within. Left ovary and uterus normal."
My doctor has rebooked TV scan in 8 weeks, then review. Should I be worried? I am in excellent health and fitness but can not help but be concerned-sorry.

Hi, I might be wrong but I always thought that if you have a complex cyst on your ovaries it is wise to get it removed and get it evaluated.(the cyst) I go on this site hyster sisters and they talk alot about it. Ask your doctor what he thinks if the cyst should biopsy. Do some research on the net it will probably come up. Good luck
